Message Leave the coilpacks and just make bolton brackets coming off the plenum for the coilpacks, wires, throttle cables, fuel lines, boost/vac lines and maybe pcv (i have no clue about the pcv or catch can stuff).

Id say design from the block up, and make sure OEM fuel rails or 300 degree rails can be used to keep cost down unless its cheaper just to intagrate the fuel rail into the design.

Also use the OEM intercooler piping and have silicon ones made to connect to the new plenum from each side, b/c theres not much room to run them up front.

mMm. composite would be awsome, but probably a lot of $$$. isnt there a company that makes them for the 350z? might want to talk to them about durability under boost.

About the fitment with the hood, I bet ppl wouldnt mind if they had to trim some of the hood frame off to get a good fit, or maybe even design it around frame, also using a thermal resistent gasket between the block and plenum would help and possibly some kind of thermal barrier on top of the plenum so u could remove some of the OEM thermal barrier material from the hood for better clearence.
